UPDATE ON STRADBROKE SURGERY
Following the surrender of the Lease, the responsibility for the management and maintenance of the Surgery in Stradbroke reverts to the Parish Council with effect from 1st April 2019.
The Parish Council stress that Health Services are not affected by this change.
The surrender enables the Parish Council to rent the health centre directly to the Doctors, instead of through the Trust.
The Parish Council will use the rental income to ensure that the health centre continues to be properly maintained and has established a dedicated account in its finances to reserve the rent received. Funds which are surplus to maintenance and repair needs will be used specifically for improvement and/or expansion of the surgery as Stradbroke grows. The Parish Council will work closely with the Doctors on any service future needs for the surgery.
The Parish Council thanks the Trustees for the work they have carried out on the health centre over the last 23 years.
The Parish Council looks forward to continuing to support the Surgery in providing its essential services to the village.
