Thank you from David Turner

Dear Fellow Stradbroke Residents

Just wanted to say a huge thank you for supporting this years Christmas lights switch on at All Saints Church.

Over 300 of you came and listened to the children sing carols, meet Santa arriving on his sleigh, get your face painted, play with slime, decorate cookies, eat doughnuts in record times, balance coins, shovel marbles and eat delicious mince pies, sausage rolls, hot dogs and sample hot chocolate, mulled wine and quince gin.

We really hope you had a fun event and your kind generosity helped raise a little over £400 for the All Saints Church.

None of this would have been possible without the generous donations of Skinners Pet Foods, Guy McGregor our County Councillor, Spar, Morrisons, Cleverley Motors , Lily J’s Hair Studio and Kids Creative Workshops, or the tireless efforts of some of your fellow residents.

Please join me in thanking your fellow residents for all their hard work.

Reverend Susan and Church Wardens Peter and Karen, Ian & Tori Ovens, Chris & Kay Edwards, Adrian & Camilla Kosla, Peter & Denise Kinch, Matt & Emma Hodson, Laura & Ben Hemmings, Marian & Neil Ovens, Jamie Yates, Stuart Baker-Wort, Les and Sue Walker, Vicky Collins, Sarah Brown, Maureen John, Alison Hackett, Alan & June Hampson, Roz Hartt, Toni Wisbey, Stella Goddard, Julie Flatman, Laura Chalkley, James Hargrave, Michael Hugman, Marty Norris, Richard Pierce-Saunderson and Dougie on the organ.

I’d also like to thank the rotary club for lending us their sleigh and local businessman Roger Skinner for switching on the lights and the many kind donations he has given the village over many years.

We all want to wish you a fantastic Christmas and a brilliant New Year.

David
