Information

Review update

The existing plan has now been in place for over 5 years and, as laid out in the plan, a formal review is required.

The Parish Council has undertaken a scoping review - this review took into account the new Government's changes to the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) which increased the number of houses areas need to plan for.  The review also took into consideration the BMSDC Joint Local Plan adopted in November 2023.  This scoping review highlighted that the Plan needed to be updated.

The current plan contains policies which provide for a minimum of 219 dwellings spread over 5 sites over the period 2016-2036.

The Parish Council, working with LUC and Mid Suffolk District Council, identified that Stradbroke needs to plan for a minimum of 200 dwellings during the lifetime of the revised plan 2024-2044.
